Christmas Trail - December 4th, 2016
This year saw our 3rd Christmas Trail become even more popular, with over 20 beautifully decorated windows, refreshments and hot food at the Hall, and music from our local band and Naseby school.
It proved to be the perfect start to the Christmas season; thank you to all who attended, for making it such a special evening.
Battlefield Bluegrass Project Day - 12th November, 2016
The weather may have been mserable, but that didn't spoil Battlefield Bluegrass's day of teaching and jamming before their evening concert.
People of all ages enjoyed coaching sessions with top instrument teachers, some epic jamming, great Bluegrass music, afternoon tea and cake. The evening concert was so much fun that we're already looking forward to the next one!
Women's Institute Soup Lunch - 5th November 2016
This has always been one of Naseby's most popular events; the wonderful home-made soups and crumbles never disappoint. Mpre people than ever came along to enjoy a delicious lunch, and to start their Christmas shopping at the various stalls, including home-made jams and preserves, crafts, cakes, biscuits, vegetables and plants, as well as jewellery and Phoenix cards.
The WI have very kindly offered to make a donation from the proceeds to the Village Hall refurbishment fund - thank you.
Babble of Naseby - 1st October 2016
Candy Couture - 23rd July 2016
Oh, what a night. Those who were there loved it, and those who weren't there wished they had been. From feathers to sequins and disco to Prosecco, this was not an evening for the faint-hearted, but Candy has definitely won a lot of new hearts in Naseby. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for her return visit; you wouldn't want to miss out again!
Happy and Glorious Weekend - 11th June 2016
Saturday's traditional family fete was organised by all the village organisations who worked together to arrange an afternoon of fun for everyone. Activities included a dog show, face-painting, football, tennis, basketball, skittles, tombolas and a bouncy castle. It seemed that everyone who lives in Naseby was at there, enjoying the wonderful bands, the delicious cakes, and the talent of the children who made fantastic Lego castles and cupcakes which were definitely fit for a queen.
Happy and Glorious Weekend - 10th June 2016
Naseby's celebrations for the Queen’s 90th Birthday were a great success. The fun started with a Children's Tea Party on Friday, 10th June. All the school children came up to the Village Hall for an afternoon of games, after which they were joined by younger siblings for a delicious afternoon tea, all baked and provided by the parents of Naseby School. (The hall didn't look quite like this afterwards...)
